The OJays “I Love Music” pretty much sums up his deep rooted affection for music. Growing up in Chicago , Chris was exposed to all sorts of music but his fondest memories of foot thumping, fist pounding, shake a tail feather rhythm began in Funk. The “stanky” funk of George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic was the catalyst that inspired his exploration of ALL genres of music. Hanging with his father, who was a record distributor in the 70’s and 80s; the heart of Disco, funk, rap and rock, is what really tantalized his musical taste buds and invoked his passion for wax . House music embodied all of those genres. Chris took that passion to college in 1987 and spent many years perfecting the art of mixing and blending with the help from his mentor, DJ Fink. Today, you will hear his mixing style influenced from Frankie Knuckles, Ron Hardy, Lil Louis, Farley Jackmaster Funk, DJ Fink, Joe Barrett, Kenny Mahone, DJ Clay, Daniell Spencer, Terry James and Brian Reeves.

Steve's interest in music began with vinyl, playing (and scratching) his father's LPs as well as his relatives that resided in The Bronx, Los Angeles, Phoenix & Belize. His parents got him a guitar at 7 & piano lessons at 10. Between catholic school & lessons, he still found time to further explore into the business of records & creating cover art for his many 45s.After graduating high school & 6 years in the Army spinning many a barbeque, house party & nightclub, Steve met WGCI radio personality Cartier (pronounced kar-t-YAY) at the Lasalle Club. A chance tape & a contest to be a mixer on WGCI emerged & a week later, Elroy Smith, Program Director of WGCI contacted Miggedy to request his services as a Mixshow DJ for Club 107.5 The rest is history.
WILIAM TOPPER LINDSAY HOSTS THE MORE THAN SOUL SHOW ON THE DIGMIX STATION. Once upon a time there was a style of music that got people dancing, not just dancing, but really, REALLY dancing. And people would “keep on dancing”. This type of music got right to the very souls of the people who listened to it. If you’ve ever heard it you’ll know what we mean. This music changed lives, broke down social barriers and brought people together all for the love of music! This music was called Soul music. Music is a way of life, it brings us all together and in the moment we hear it we all experience moments we can never ever recreate! This is the time for “Morethan Soul…”, We are in a time when music is being recreated in good ways, classics are coming back with vengeance and clubs are bordering on being called “Discos” once again! It’s time to get funky, dig out your soul shoes, practise your dance moves in the mirror and get ready to Party!
